About Terry

Terry Dupertuis – Registered Osteopath, M.Ost

Terry Dupertuis is a registered osteopath and recent graduate of the European School of Osteopathy (ESO), where she earned a Master’s degree in Osteopathy. She is also trained in Medical Acupuncture and Dry Needling, adding to her comprehensive toolkit for treating a wide range of musculoskeletal issues. Terry offers her services on Tuesdays and Saturdays as part of the clinic’s team of practitioners.

Passionate about healthcare, Terry is committed to helping patients recover from injuries, manage chronic pain, or enhance their overall health. She utilizes a variety of osteopathic techniques—ranging from structural and visceral to cranio-sacral approaches—to ensure that each treatment is tailored to the specific needs of her patients. With a focus on holistic care, she also integrates acupuncture and dry needling when appropriate to optimize treatment outcomes.

Terry also believes strongly in patient education, lifestyle adjustments, and preventative care, choosing the most appropriate approach based on the individual presentation of each patient. Her aim is to empower patients to take charge of their health and wellbeing, providing them with tools for long-term recovery and quality of life improvement.

In addition to her qualifications, Terry’s commitment to ongoing learning and skill refinement defines her approach to osteopathy. She dedicates much of her time to advancing her expertise, staying up to date with the latest in medical and holistic care.

Before Osteopathy

Before moving to the UK, Terry grew up in Switzerland where she worked for Molotov, an event company. Over nearly a decade, she took on numerous roles, including project management, team leadership, and event promotion. Her work in this industry helped her develop adaptability, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities under pressure—qualities she brings to her osteopathic practice today.

Terry also completed hospital work experience at Sion’s hospital in Switzerland, where she worked as a care assistant in neurology and nephrology. This hands-on experience in a medical setting gave her valuable insights into multidisciplinary collaboration and the importance of the practitioner-patient relationship.

Terry’s experience working in various sectors has helped shape her understanding of patient care and community engagement. During her studies, she worked at a local climbing gym in Maidstone, where she not only managed café operations but also connected with the local community. This experience allowed her to better understand the physical demands and challenges of active individuals, further informing her approach to patient care.

Outside of Osteopathy

In addition to osteopathy, she has always enjoyed dancing, whether be it in a class, workshop, dancing club, or simply in her room. She admires and understands the dedication a dancer puts into his/her art. In her free time, she also enjoys doing amateur photography. Immortalizing discreet moments of friendships, beautiful sceneries, or big parties such as friends’ weddings or birthdays is one of her favourite pass times.

Otherwise, she enjoys traveling back home to see family and friends, or farther away to explore and learn about new cultures, and discover amazing new foods, landscapes, and ways of life.
